Redfin Welcomes November Agent Hires

The holiday season is in full swing, and no one is feeling it more than our recruiting team! I want to take a moment to recognize all of the new agents who decided to join Redfin amid a very busy season. Please join me in giving our November Newfins a warm welcome!

This month, we’re thrilled to say hello (again) to Karen Jones, who rejoined our Seattle team from Compass’s Capitol Hill office. If you’ve been around for a while, you may recognize Karen as somewhat of a Redfin legend. She originally joined us as a listing agent in 2007 when we only had a handful of agents in Seattle, and stuck with us for more than 15 years! In that time, she did just about every job in the book—from customer service manager to recruiting for our partner program—and became known as someone who truly lives and breathes Redfin’s values. Karen continued to be successful outside of Redfin, but says she’s returning because she missed the tools, the people and the culture Redfin provides. 

“In a lot of ways, I feel like I’m coming home,” Karen said. “The culture at Redfin is distinctive. Although some things have changed over the years, we have the same spirit of trial and adjustment that I reveled in when I first joined. I think that shows in the quality of Redfin’s technology and processes. It’s not very efficient out there in the traditional world. Redfin really has the edge when it comes to a seamless experience both for us as agents and for our customers.”

We’re also excited to see some new faces on the team, including Rocky Loring, who is joining our Portland office from The Reger Group. Rocky has a deep background and passion for customer service, which led him to start his real estate career a few years ago. He quickly became a rising star, closing an impressive 40 deals his first full year in the business and another 55 so far this year. Rocky is known for being a great negotiator, problem solver, and source of positivity for his clients—and we’re stoked he decided to continue growing his career with Redfin.

“Redfin’s ultimate dedication to their agents was something I didn’t see in a lot of other brokerages,” Rocky said. “With bigger companies, it’s common for executives to be so out of touch with what’s happening on the ground. But Glenn and the rest of the leadership team have made it very apparent that they’re there for us. The whole company strives to help us feel supported, make us better agents, and give our clients the best experience we can.”
